What Happens On The Tour

See The Place Before You Commit To Anything

No pressure and no script. You walk the floor, meet the team and leave knowing where you stand.

1

Walk The Whole Facility

The training floor, the covered turf yard and the kennels. You see exactly where your dog would train and sleep, not a photo on a website.

2

Meet The People And The Dogs

The team who would be handling your dog, and the dogs already working through the programs. Watch how they are handled and judge for yourself.

3

A Straight Read On Your Dog

What is actually driving the behavior, which program fits, and what it would take. If your dog does not need us, we will tell you that too.

Sound Familiar?

Pulling, Reacting, Or Just Not Listening?

If you recognize your dog in any of these, you are exactly who we built this place for.

Pulling & Leash Reactivity

Barking and lunging at every dog you pass, so walks turned into something you brace for instead of something you look forward to.

Reactive Or Aggressive

Lunging at dogs, people or anything that moves. You have started planning your whole day around avoiding other dogs.

Jumping & No Off Switch

Jumping on guests, counter surfing, and commands that work in the kitchen but fall apart the second it actually matters.

A Rescue With No Confidence

A dog who will not settle, hates the crate, and never quite relaxes even in their own home. Rehabilitation is the work we are known for.

Training Programs

Six Ways To Train With Us

Which one fits your dog is exactly what the free tour and evaluation is for.

Most PopularBasic Obedience and Manners at Nevada Canine Training Academy

Basic Obedience & Manners

Sit, down, place, recall and loose leash walking, built so they hold up at home with the door open and the doorbell going. The foundation everything else is stacked on.

Advanced Obedience and Public Manners at Nevada Canine Training Academy

Advanced Obedience & Public Manners

The same obedience taken out into the real world. Patios, stores, parking lots and crowds, where distraction is the whole test.

Behavior Modification and Full Off-Leash at Nevada Canine Training Academy

Behavior Modification & Full Off-Leash

Reactivity, aggression and anxiety, worked properly and then proofed off leash. These are the cases other trainers turn away, and they are the ones we take.

Service Dog Obedience and Public Access at Nevada Canine Training Academy

Service Dog Obedience & Public Access

Task work and public access standards for handlers who need a working partner, not just an obedient dog. We have placed dogs with clients living with real disabilities.

Private Lessons at Nevada Canine Training Academy

Private Lessons

One-on-one with a trainer, at the facility or out where the problem actually happens. You get coached as much as your dog does.

Group Classes at Nevada Canine Training Academy

Group Classes

Structured obedience around other dogs and other handlers, which is the one distraction you cannot recreate in your living room.

Boarding is available to dogs who have graduated one of our training programs, so the structure they learned here does not come undone while you are away.

Zachary Dickmeyer

Owner & Head Trainer

Zachary has spent 12 years working with dogs full time. Before opening Nevada Canine he built and ran a dog care and training operation across two Las Vegas locations for almost ten years, with 100 kennels, 25 staff and somewhere between 600 and 700 dogs trained a year.

He also spent years working in animal shelters, which is where the rehabilitation side of this comes from. The dogs nobody else wanted to take on are the ones he is best known for, and a good number of them went on to become service dogs for clients living with disabilities.

Nevada Canine is family owned and operated. That is the whole difference from the franchises: the person who owns the place is the person on the floor, and the people answering your calls are family too.

“It’s obvious that Nevada Canine isn’t just training dogs, they’re changing lives.” Sue, Gunner’s handler

What Las Vegas Families Say

Reviews from real clients, shown the way they wrote them.

★★★★★
“When you’re in a power wheelchair full-time, the little things most people take for granted, opening a door, picking up dropped keys, or retrieving your phone, can become major obstacles. I knew I needed more than just an obedient dog. I needed a true partner. That’s exactly what Zachary and the incredible team at Nevada Canine Training Academy gave me. Today, he confidently retrieves dropped items, brings me things I need, and even opens doors, giving me a level of independence I didn’t think was possible.”

“From the very first conversation, they were professional, responsive, and deeply committed to matching me with the right service dog. I came from out of state, and they made what could have been a complicated process incredibly smooth and stress-free. Now, almost two months later, I’m living a life I never thought possible thanks to Bravo, my amazing black lab. Bravo is trained for epilepsy assistance, and he has already proven his worth in several successful episodes.”

“Before training, Diesel was in a place of constant disobedience, reacting to every distraction, disrespecting guests, marking all over our yard, and basically running our household. Zach and his team transformed him into a calm, well-mannered, and obedient boy. Zach’s training goes far beyond any training we’ve ever experienced. He includes us in every step and truly guides us on how to safely and effectively help Diesel be the best dog he can be.”

“Our GSD was very reactive around other dogs and struggled with being social, and we weren’t sure how to help her. The patience, guidance, and genuine care from the trainers, especially Zachary, helped her become more confident and comfortable. What made this experience so special was learning that it wasn’t just about training our dog, it was about training us as humans and building a true partnership with her.”

“We originally had our Doberman, Diesel, trained with Nevada Canine Training Academy and were thrilled with his transformation. During his 8 weeks of training, he formed an incredible bond with Harley, a dog Zachary had been training since she was 8 weeks old. They played together every day, laid next to each other, and became completely inseparable. We came for one dog and gained a new member of our family.”
